About Pete

“As I walk our neighborhoods and listen to your concerns, it’s clear we all need property tax reform and a government that spends less. We want affordable healthcare and we share a desire to protect Bucks County’s beautiful open spaces. These are priorities I will fight for every day in Harrisburg.”
- Pete Stainthorpe
Pete Stainthorpe isn’t a career politician. He’s a small business owner, father and proven local elected official who knows Harrisburg can do a better job with our tax dollars while still providing the services and benefits our families care about most.
As the owner of his own marketing company, Pete works with large and small business leaders to improve their ability to communicate with their employees, their suppliers, and their customers. He understands how to balance a budget, make tough decisions, and cut costs while still providing outstanding service to his clients. He also knows how to listen and how to build consensus to find solutions to complex problems.
Pete’s neighbors have twice elected him as a Lower Makefield Township Supervisor. In that role he has proven his ability to provide quality services – like excellent parks and playing fields, a top-tier police department, and programs to preserve and protect open space – while controlling spending.
In Harrisburg he will bring this real world experience to the state legislature – to stand up for taxpayers and make government work for us again. He will also bring his business and public service skills to bear while fighting to make healthcare more affordable, passing reforms to help create jobs and improve the economy, and securing the funds for important local infrastructure needs like fixing roads and bridges.
A long-time resident of Lower Makefield Township, Pete raised his three children and runs his business here. Pete is a graduate of Penn State University.
